1.) Get more sun. Many people use sun screen to prevent sun damage, however it’s very important that you expose yourself to the RIGHT type of sunlight. Sunlight within an hour of rising or an hour before sunset has very little, to no UV damage on the body.
2.) Breath deeper. Practice breathing into the stomach rather than into the chest. Increasing oxygen intake to every cell of the body is vital. It helps with tissue repair, calming emotional stress, concentration and focus, lymphatic flow, and regular bowel movements.
3.) Less microwaving and heating. Microwaving foods have been shown to kill beneficial nutrients and increase carcinogenic material within the food. Get into the habit of steaming foods or cooking foods on the stove at a low temperature for shorter amount of time.
4.) Add more vegetables. Incorporate greens into every meal to ensure you are getting essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin K, vitamin C, phosphorous, calcium, and iron.
5.) Focus on complex carbs. Complex carbs are ideal for keeping energy levels stable and burning fat at the same time. Complex carbs include whole rolled oats, brown rice, and quinoa.
